A Message For Our Haters And Skeptics (Bizathon6 Episode3)

Recently there has been a wave of videos exposing so called gurus as frauds.

This industry actually needs it. 

The internet marketing space is one of the most dishonest, downright unethical industries – online or otherwise.

To see the YouTube community come together and expose scammers, while praising those that are really making an honest effort to produce great content is awesome!

However, as these “Exposure” videos are getting more popular, people are again, deceiving and suggesting that the “good” guys are also unethical just to get views and clicks. 

This is where things get dangerous and even more convoluted.

Only call somebody out or expose a “guru” AFTER you’ve done your due diligence in the form of extended research, interviews etc…

One of the most annoying practices we’ve been seeing in regard to the “call-out” videos is the thumbnail used to promote the video.

Often times the thumbnail is nothing more than clickbait which in itself is dishonest.

The Other Problem With Guru Call Out Videos

On many of these videos that are calling people out, YouTubers are using the images and screenshots of people who are actually doing really good things, simply as clickbait.

This practice is just as dishonest and unethical as the people you are calling out. 

If you’re one of the “experts” doing this, I implore you to immediately change your ways.

What happens is that the general public has a very short attention span, and tends to take things at face value.

So when they see your catchy video title, something like, “HOW SHOPIFY GURUS ARE SCAMMING YOU” and they see Rito’s face on the thumbnail for example, even though he’s not mentioned anywhere in the video, you’re now hurting an honest brand. 

And if you’re hurting an honest brand, the thumbnail and scam exposing video itself may as well include your own picture.

You always see these and will continue to see earnings screenshots so long as you frequent the “make money online” space.

We didn’t use any type of Money or Earnings Shot for something like our first 150 posts.

After Bizathon3 that changed.

During that fateful Bizathon, we built our very first Shopify store live, right in front of you.

Because this is a business and the main objective of creating the Shopify drop shipping business is turning a profit.

We find our earnings images and video not only inspiring for our followers, but necessary as validation of the methods utilized during this journey.

Because we’re aware of the incessant fraud in the online marketing space, we’ve made it a point not to use screenshots, but rather show you a newly refreshed analytics/conversion page for authenticity purposes within our videos.

Running a successful business is not so much about the money as it is about consistency in planning, execution and discipline. The money is a just a bi-product of making the correct entrepreneurial moves. 

Haters Gonna Hate

No matter what, as we continue to grow and gain popularity, we’ll inevitably gain more haters.

Haters are gonna hate. That’s just how it is. 

Many are quick to make up their minds, and perceive their opinions as fact.

The sad thing is that the most vehement haters usually seem to have had past life trauma leading to that sort of destructive and unpleasant behavior. 

In fact, around here, we’ve decided it’s no longer worth our time trying to reason with or prove haters wrong. 

Love is the underlying theme around here.
