The Only Reason To Create A Niche Shopify Store

We’ve kept it a bit of a secret, but we actually opened a Shopify niche store.

This store was based on a product we were selling on CommonPanda.

We’ve learned a lot in the short time we’ve been running the niche store.

Let’s dive in!

WHY Create A Niche Store

You get to build a strong and better brand for a specific niche.

Let’s use Facebook advertising as our example / reference point.

With a general store, Facebook gathers data for ALL products you’ve published.

If you sell LED products, gardening tools, and toys, Facebook pools that data.

The problem with this, is our audiences become convoluted and less targeted.

If you identify a particular gardening product that’s crushing it, open a Niche store focused on that product type.

You’ll also open a new Facebook Ads account specifically focused on your gardening product ads.

All the data associated with that particular store’s FB pixel, will be highly focused on one topic and audience type.

You will notice lower cost per clicks and lower cost per 1,000 ad impressions.

WHEN To Launch A Niche Store

The number 1 thing to remember here is to always start a general store first!

You need the general store to identify which specific products convert for you.

Once you have a winning product, build a Niche store around that product type.

Make sure that product has multiple related products within the niche.

It helps to have passion and knowledge about whichever niche you decide to build your store around.

Speak the language of the people who buy the products within your Niche store!

HOW To Start Your Niche Store

We’ll be getting much deeper into this within the next post.

But for now, here are the basics:

  1. Create A New Shopify Store (Domain name, hosting, logo etc).
  2. Open A New Facebook Ads Account
  3. Begin Advertising Your Winning Product With Your New Ad Account
  4. Identify 2-3 New Winning Products Per Week
  5. Create Your Niche Specific Autoresponder Sequences

Nothing else changes.
