This is exactly what you may have assumed…
You’ll be getting Instagram influencers to shoutout your brand, product or service.
While we’ll be utilizing high profile people on Instagram, I’m not talking about Kim K or the Biebz.
I’m talking about people that have between 10k and 1Million followers.
This is a unique strategy for those who already have other means of traffic generation in place, such as Facebook and solo ads.
Or maybe you don’t feel like dealing with Facebook or their advertising platform.
Pay close attention because this may be the strategy for you…
Create An Instagram Account For Your Store
Use your mobile phone to download the Instagram app.
After you follow the account creation prompts, build your profile.
- Profile Picture (Logo)
- Store Name
- Store Website
- Catchphrase (optional but recommended)
- And add your first pictures.
When you’re adding pictures to your new Instagram profile, don’t just upload product photos.
Mix it up by uploading pictures of people using the products, show them in action!
If you already have a personal account, you can visit settings and turn it into a business account which allows you to open and control multiple profiles.
Instagram business accounts are free.
Follow Influencers & Negotiate Promotions
Find an influencer, negotiate a deal and hopefully see some new traffic and sales.
Don’t be intimidated.
Instagram influencers are used to shout marketing for people and more specifically used to promoting Shopify products.
This is how many of them make their living.
We’ll discuss terms and price points in upcoming episodes, but for now it wouldn’t hurt to get your feet wet.
Properly Track Your Promotions
Again, we’ll touch on promotion tracking in an upcoming episode.
But the easiest and most common way to track Shout Marketing promotions is by creating a custom discount link for each Influencer you strike a deal with.
This way anybody purchasing through that discount link will be tracked by Shopify and your respective influencers will get credit.
Follow Regular Folk Too
While the point of this post is to teach shout marketing via Instagram Influencers, it’s important to build up your own organic following as well.
The best way to do this is do begin following regular people who have shown interests in your niche.
Once you begin following people related to your niche, you can begin interacting with them…
Regularly Like, Comment & Shoutout People
The best way to get attention on your own Instagram posts and products is by giving attention to the posts and products of others.
Like, comment, and shoutout those who are related to your own store and niche.
This will more than likely result in your followers reciprocating the gestures.
Remain Consistently Active
Remain consistent with not only your posting schedule which allows people to expect new content from you, but also your liking, commenting and shoutouts.
Don’t be super active for two days and then fall off.
This conveys flakiness, and will annoy people.
Once people are annoyed with your brand, it’s difficult to get them back on board.
