Each month at FSO we build brand new businesses from Scratch in 30 days – The Bizathon Challenge!
This month we’re building up a Membership Website.
Not only can you follow along as we build this business from the ground up, you can become a founding member for just $1!
So far we’ve created an entire membership website; with accompanying sales funnel, submitted our first solo ad order as well as created our first Facebook Targeting & Retargeting Ads.
In our last session, we exposed 4 Ninja Tactics To Exponentially Scale Your Facebook Ads.
And today, I want to reveal “7 Writing Strategies” that will have your emails converting like hot cakes.
Watch the video below as Ritoban shares specific email writing strategies designed to convert:
Just about everybody’s inbox is saturated with emails.
Spam, offers, updates, more spam, more offers etc.
It’s incredibly difficult to set yourself apart from all the inbox noise you’re competing with as a marketer these days.
Thankfully delivery is everything.
And we are going to show you how to optimize your delivery to get maximum results.
SendLane is how we send our emails, and what we suggest you use, so let’s quickly review the process…
For today’s agenda, here’s what you’ll need to do:
Login to SendLane and click “Campaign Setup.”
Scroll to “Recipients” and select everybody except the lists containing people who have already taken your desired action.
Scroll to “Design” and proceed to adjust the layout and written copy. Click “Next.”
Hit “Next” again.
Now click “Schedules.” From the next page scroll to “Sending” and make sure it’s set to “Now.”
“Send.”
That’s it. Simple!
We are going to repeat the above steps once more today. Only this time creating an email for subscribers who may still be on the fence about our offer and need a nudge.
The only thing that will change this time is the headline, message copy and delivery date.
You can see what Rito did for this particular followup message in the screenshot below…
Write Emails That SELL! 7 Writing Strategies That Convert:
Email can and should used strategically to build loyalty and trust in your brand.
Speak directly with your subscriber by employing the following tactics to build a stronger relationship with prospects, leads and current customers…
Captivate With Compelling Subject Lines
People don’t read online, they scan. And it’s even more true when referring to inbox content.
There’s no point spending time creating great content if people won’t even read it.
Ensure your message is received by giving it an irresistible subject line.
Write Shorter Sentences
Don’t write lengthy. You’ll lose people.
Instead focus on trimming, trimming, trimming. Use few words as possible to express your message.
By doing this, the users aren’t overwhelmed and can easily digest the content.
A trick of the trade is to keep your writing at a 5th graders reading level.
Focus On Pain Points
If your product or service is to resonate, it needs to address customer pain points.
People buy based on two very simple concepts – Pain & Pleasure.
Address this by focusing on what your subscriber finds disturbing, frustrating, imperative or uncomfortable.
The solution you offer will double as pleasure, increasing the likelihood of conversion.
Always Tell A Story
With so much content out there, it’s become increasingly difficult to stand out.
The easiest way to display your uniqueness and authenticity to the world is telling your own stories.
Incorporate facts, statistics, and pain points into relatable stories readers will remember.
Simply phrasing things as they’ve already happened, suggests you’ve lived it, and makes you relatable.
Use Trigger Words
Commit trigger words into your writing – you’ll INSTANTLY produce INCREDIBLY engaging content.
Great writers engage readers emotionally while emphasizing the facts with Trigger words.
Here are 10 effective trigger words to give you an example:
- You
- Secret
- Beware
- Limited
- Instantly
- Incredible
- Confession
- Unexpected
- Supercharge
- Breakthrough
Offer Your Time
This one’s about trust.
You’re willing to put your money where your mouth is by working with people intimately. This builds tremendous trust.
In our interconnected world, it’s getting tougher and tougher to distinguish yourself and your brand.
Nothing with convey authority and build trust like a 1 on 1 consultation.
By the way, you can now schedule face-time with Rito and work side-by-side on YOUR business.
Utilize Scarcity & Urgency
People have a deep seated fear of missing out.
Appealing to this human characteristic can work wonders for your conversion rate.
Scarcity invokes the feeling a product or service is about to run out.
Urgency invokes the feeling that something is important, and requiring immediate action.
Here are a few ways to utilize these emotions:
- Invite Only
- Acknowledge a deadline
- Acknowledge a limited amount
- Implement a digital waiting line
- Display large numbers of users
- Acknowledge users currently checking out
- Use Reds, Oranges and Yellows as button colors
- Use triggers like “Hurry,” “Instantly,” “Immediately,” and “Don’t Miss Out.”
You don’t have to be a savant to write great emails.
Just connect with your audience by delivering the information they want – without obstacles, or extensive thinking.
Only 4 days to go…
That’s a wrap for Day 26 – Well done!
