How To Handle The Latest Facebook Ads Update For Shopify Drop Shipping Stores (Bizathon6 Episode21)

2 min read

Welcome back to Bizathon6!

After a successful 7-Day First Sale Sprint, we’ll be picking up right where we left off.

If you’re not already aware, Facebook is one of, if not our biggest traffic generators.

We’re very hands on with our ads and monitor and manipulate them daily.

The 3 ROAS strategy being our primary focus when doing so.

But every so often, Facebook likes to throw a curveball in order to keep their advertisers honest.

Enjoy the video as Rito covers how to hit home runs after a Facebook Ads update:

If there’s one thing that’s true about business, especially for entrepreneurs…

There will always be challenges.

My advice to you is this…

Don’t look at challenges as being good or bad. Simply view challenges as they are – challenges.

You ultimately have one of two choices when a new challenge presents itself.

Deal with it or don’t.

If you’re serious about your business, and about being a successful entrepreneur, you’ll choose to deal with them more often than not.

By many standards, Rito and I have both obtained business success, online and offline.

However, have faced and will continue to face our fair share of obstacles.

Maintain your positivity, and your wits, and you should never run into a problem that you cannot solve with a bit of critical thought.

That said, the latest Facebook Ads Update has a lot of people panicking.

Don’t be one of them!

Here’s how to take advantage of this latest opportunity…

The Latest Facebook Ads Update

This latest update has to do with Ads Info and compliance.

As you’re likely aware, Facebook has been under fire for unethical business practices over the last several months.

This update is in direct response to the controversy.

It’s a way for Facebook to increase transparency between not only itself and it’s users, but between it’s advertisers and their target audiences.

You can now view the ads from other advertisers and Facebook pages.

Visit any Facebook page and click the tab on the left sidebar that reads, “Info and Ads.”

You can view all of the ads their running and in every country they run them.

How This Negatively Affects Drop Shippers

Angry Dropshipper Gary V

You’ve likely figured out by now, that the drop shipping industry is incredibly competitive.

So an update like this could quite literally kill certain businesses that may have been otherwise flourishing.

It’s because anybody (competitor) can now come along and see which ads are performing, for which product, and steal them.

This further saturates the market, and will obviously reduce income for many.

How This Positively Affects Drop Shippers

On the opposite side of the spectrum…

When you’re just starting out, the process of identifying winning products, while creating successful ads to promote them can be daunting.

This new update makes it easier for newbies to get an idea of what products are doing well, and allows them to see the ads promoting them.

Create Multiple Fan Pages

Create Multiple Facebook Pages

If you’re running ads from your primary Facebook page and are concerned about competitors stealing your ad sets and saturating the market.

A simple solution would be to create multiple fan pages around specific niche products and run the ads from those instead of your brands primary page.

This way, the new, obscure pages aren’t really known and spies will have a much more difficult time identifying what what’s working for you and what’s not.

Record Your Own Video Ads & Watermark Them

Watermark Your Videos

This is something we are going to be doing for our video ads moving forward.

Most people just take videos from Amazon, AliExpress or other fan pages and then promote them as their own.

The solution to this is to order your own products and record a video at your house.

You can then watermark the videos so people can’t pass them off as their own.

That’ll do it for Episode 21 – Great work!
