Enjoy the video as Rito reveals how we crossed $18K internationally in 2018:
We ran our international Shopify sales report and we were pleasantly surprised…
It was only 24 days ago that we began selling globally.
And our international sales have already crossed $18K in 2018!
Today you’ll discover the exact 4-step process we used to achieve this.
Dropshipping With Shopify In 2018
The primary benefit of dropshipping is that you don’t hold any inventory.
Your AliExpress suppliers handle logistics and transportation to your customers.
Back in the day, if companies wanted to sell internationally, it would have taken months or even years to get all the legal aspects in order.
Thanks for dropshipping with Shopify, that’s no longer the case.
Now it only takes a few minutes to get your international business off the ground…
And reaching new audiences and customers the same day you launch your ads.
There’s a massive audience of hungry buyers outside the United States.
We are here to help you tap into this dropshipping goldmine with Shopify.
Before we dive in, it’s important to identify you winning products with US customers, prior to promoting internationally.
Typically, if something is selling very well in the US, it sells well everywhere else.

Now let’s dive in to the 4-step process…
Step 1: Understanding Which Countries To Target
Which countries do you target?
We suggest focusing on the United States until you reach $30K in sales:
- United States
Once you hit that $30k milestone expand your targeting to Tier 1 English speaking countries:
- United Kingdom
- New Zealand
Then expand into Tier 2 Non-English speaking countries:
Step #2 – Ensure AliExpress Suppliers Ship To Specific Countries
Ensuring the viability of your vendors is critical to your stores success.
If your chosen vendors drag their feet when it comes to shipping goods, customers will obviously get upset and likely not purchase from your again.
Additionally, if they don’t receive the goods at all, you’re going to experience chargebacks, and bad PR.
For every good experience somebody receives online, they’ll tell up to 3 people.
But when it’s a bad experience, they’ll tell up to 20 on average.
Avoid the bad PR, and unhappy customers by ensuring vendors ship quickly, to the countries you’re targeting and with tracking numbers.
You can discover all of this within AliExpress prior to completing any purchase.
Step #3 – Adequately Prepare Your Shopify Store
Before promoting any product, it’s imperative to ensure certain elements on your site.
In terms of the product listing page, here are four things we always include:
- Catchy Copy That Mentions FREE Shipping At Least Twice
- Best Currency Converter App Installed & Setup
- Messenger (Recart)
- Countdown Timer
Step #4 – Implement A Specific Ad Strategy
Our ad strategy has remained the same since Bizathon3…
Because it works.
Here’s what you do:
- Identify which products convert for your US audiences.
- Duplicate the ad campaign and target another country.
- Target a new country with each duplicated campaign.
Audience size will fluctuate from country to country.
To remedy the smaller audience, simply add additional targeting parameters.
You want your audience size for each ad set and each country to be between 100K-1million people.
To fully grasp this concept, check out our First Sale Series.
There’s money to be made outside of the United States dropshipping with Shopify.
Don’t hold yourself back and don’t be afraid to test different countries…
After you identify your winning products.
That’ll do it for Episode 7 – Great work!
